About
Bonnie is a Scottish word meaning 'pretty' or 'beautiful' and Clò translates to 'cloth' or 'clothing/tweed' in Scots Gaelic.

Bonnie Clo began in 2025 after Kirstie went freelance, born as a passion project and a way to create freely and on her own terms. It started as a fusion of love for fashion and fantasy costume—a space where the two could intertwine without limits.
At the heart of Bonnie Clo is a commitment to circular making: using scrap materials, remnants, upcycled garments, and deadstock fabrics, most of which are left over from film and commission projects, to ensure nothing goes to waste. This approach is her way of minimising waste while giving new life to overlooked materials.
Bonnie Clo pieces are predominantly sold through craft fairs and markets, as well as on the Bonnie Clo Etsy shop.
